Overview

Responsibilities and accountabilities are for the efficient and cost effective handling of freight cost ratings and payments, freight claims, analyses, projects and professional communication with contracted transportation carriers, suppliers, customers and BUNN personnel to facilitate transportation.

Responsibilities

·         Responsible for securing, coordinating, tracking and reporting on the global (import, export and foreign-to-foreign) movement of materials and products, as well as ensuring appropriate communication of any delayed deliveries or issues pertaining to shipments.

·         Responsible for creation and submission of accurate international documentation (i.e. commercial invoices, letters of instruction, etc.).

·         Conduct international transportation contract, pricing and logistics analyses.

·         Coordinate and/or support small and large-scale international transportation bids.

·         Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, reports and metrics.

·         Perform timely investigation of logistics issues by collaborating with internal and external customers and transportation providers, including expediting, order tracing, claim investigations, proof of delivery confirmation, etc.

·         Ensure timely and accurate payment of international transportation, including invoice review and audit, as well as the resolution of exception billings.

·         Identify and pursue opportunities for continuous improvement in order to increase efficiency and reduce cost via system enhancements, procedure changes, etc.

·         Serve as backup for various functions, both related to international and domestic logistics within the logistics/compliance department as needed.

·         Other applicable duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required with a focus on logistics or business preferred; two years of experience in transportation/logistics and/or supply chain operations required; understanding of international shipping requirements and experience processing international commercial invoices, way bills, customs forms, etc. is a plus; strong ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers; excellent oral and written communication skills; excellent analytical and reporting skills; computer literate with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Transportation Management System (TMS) experience is a plus; demonstrated ability and willingness work in a team environment; ability to exercise initiative and develop actionable strategies and work processes that improve the effectiveness of BUNN transportation systems; ability to make decisions and recommendations using various resources and information available; ability to multi-task and prioritize workload in order to meet deadlines; ability to be a team player and customer service driven.
