  • Overview

    Performs troubleshooting and problem resolution with PC-based software and hardware, mobile devices, printers, barcode scanners and other end user devices. Plans and deploys software and PC rollouts for the user community. Executes basic network administration and other tasks as necessary.  Provides hands-on local support, along with remote support across the globe.


    • Provides support for corporate email clients, operating systems, SaaS applications and other critical infrastructure software.
    • Accepts, logs and dispatches end-user requests utilizing the IT service desk.
    • Assists in hardware and software deployment, documentation, support, inventory and other activities as required.
    • Offers software and hardware upgrades as deemed necessary by IT strategic initiatives.
    • Works closely with external vendors to order and maintain necessary supplies.
    • Manages moves, additions and changes of user equipment including cabling where necessary.
    • Participates in deployment, planning, documentation, support, inventory and other support activities.
    • Assists with software asset management to ensure licensing is maintained to uphold legal compliance.
    • Supports information security initiatives as directed by management and policy.
    • May provide informal training assistance to users/colleagues.
    • May participate in technical projects; typically, less than one-year
    • Acts as backup to other support staff in their absence.


    • Associates Degree in a computer-related field 
    • Bachelors Degree in Information Systems or similar field preferred
    • Minimum six months experience in PC support or previous internship and experience with the following software: MS Windows Operating Systems, business productivity software (Word Processing, Spreadsheets, etc.) and enterprise email packages (Lotus Notes, Exchange, etc.)
    • Professional certification in systems support, networking or operating systems plus two years experience working in a systems support role preferred
    • Must possess the ability to work with the end-user community in a positive manner
    • Experience with wireless networking and wireless devices, IP telephony, mobile devices, Apple OSX, Apple iOS and SaaS applications
    • Experience with PC management tools like Dell KACE or Microsoft SCCM
    • Programming experience in any high-level language
    • Familiarity with ITIL principles, scripting and automation.
